Gogol Bordello stanno tornando con “Seekers and Finders”, il nuovo album in uscita il 25 agosto, il primo su etichetta Cooking Vinyl/Edel. Come afferma Eugene Hütz, frontman della gypsy punk band, “Seekers and Finders” is just a very magical and playful record for us”. Scritto attraversando tre differenti continenti, “Seekers and Finders” ritrova la multicultural band in ottima forma, tra violini saltellanti, fisarmoniche, trombe e marimba che fluiscono con batterie e chitarre rock. Prodotto dallo stesso Eugene Hutz, il nuovo lavoro vede i Gogol Bordello in ottima forma e contiene anche la collaborazione con Regina Spektor, che presta la sua voce nella title-track.
Attivi dal 1991, i Gogol Bordello prendono le influnze gypsy punk dell’Est Europa e le contaminano con l’underground rock di New York. Dopo aver collaborato con grandi nomi alla produzione tra cui Rick Rubin, Steve Albini, Andrew Scheps e Victor Van Vugt, “Seekers and Finders”, il nuovo album di studio, vede per la prima volta Eugene Hütz alla produzione. “As the new songs were emerging, I had a feeling that Seekers and Finders was going to be such an intimate record that, for this time, I felt the need to get behind the wheel myself and try marry the two: everything we learned from grandmasters with the Original Gogol Intention.”
